Creating a Task Group

The maximum number of tasks allowed in a task group is 20. If you try to select more than twenty tasks a message displays advising that the maximum number has been reached.

To create a task group:

  1. Go to the Task Queue screen.

  2. Those tasks allowed to be grouped have a check box at the left of the Task ID column.

  3. Select the check boxes of the tasks to be grouped together.

  4. A banner displays at the bottom of the screen with the number of tasks selected.

  5. Click Group Tasks to create the task group.

Once a task has been grouped, the task group icon displays by its Task ID. This also displays in the Task List and wherever the task is listed.

To see what task or tasks it is grouped with, hover the mouse over the task group icon.

Details of the other tasks in the group can be found in the task's flyout screen which displays the numbers of the other tasks in the group and a third tab, Task Group (number of tasks in the group), displays with those tasks' details.

As it is the task handler who decides the order in which to do tasks, the Estimated Completion Time, in the flyout screen, includes an information icon which displays that the actual arrival times may vary but will be continuously updated as the task handler completes the tasks in the group.
